Ante Meridiem Eye Openers-April 22, 2008CE

Yesterday was a sick day so let's get right into it.

1) Finally, after what seems like 7 million years, Pennsylvania will hold their primary today, ending the long national nightmare of people having to care about Pennsylvania. Hillary has a convincing lead in the state but I still believe this will go down to the convention. Meanwhile, John McCain is sitting back with a cool iced tea just alternately laughing and hacking up blood from the consumption he got when he fought at the OK Corral.

2) Oh Lord, who won't these people pander to. The slack jawed bumpkins who consider this entertainment are the same people who consider Trace Adkins music, and frankly I do not want them to be involved in any aspect of the process of picking the next President of the United States of America.

3) This is my new favorite method of torture. I turn it up real loud and everyone in the room squirms and screams and I get off on it, real hard. Then I make some caramel popcorn and we watch A League of Their Own. All in all, a good weekend.

4) Those crazy priests, with their vows of poverty, chastity and floating away while attached to hundreds of balloons. When will they ever learn?

5) My mind is blown wide open when I learned that Africans won the Boston Marathon. In fact, the men's winner is the same guy who won the last 2 years. Honestly, I think the next time anyone will ever be surprised at the outcome of the marathon is if an Afrikaner wins.

Well, that's about it. It's like Dave Foley as the Gun Fighter in The Kids in the Hall said: "I once shot a man just to watch him die, then I got distracted and missed it. Oh my friends tried to describe it to me, but it just isn't the same."
