Pickmaster Flex

Thursday Oct. 25
Boston College vs Virgina Tech: An amazing comeback by the Eagles that should have never happened. If VT’s offense would have been able to do anything, including actually score a touchdown, Matt Ryan and BC would have more to be upset about. This was not the number 2 team in the country, or any country for that matter, last night. Virignia Tech should be somewhere in the lower top 25 and I bet they will find themselves there now. I wish both teams could have lost because they both deserved to.

Friday Oct 26
Boise St vs. Fresno St.: Umm, yay?!? A WAC game on television. This will be exciting for about 1/98th of the country. And with McDonough calling the game, I would recommend putting your grandmother in front of the screen so she will fall asleep faster. Boise St.

Saturday Oct 27
West Virginia vs. Rutgers: Another Big East math-up for the ages. West Virginia wins, because of the wonder twins, Slaton and White, and the Rutgers defense couldn’t stop a two year old on a tricycle. Still think this is the most overrated conference in the world.

Pittsburgh vs. Louisville: The ‘stache against the guy who used to be Petrino. This is a tough game to call but you can bet it will not be a tough game to play. I am giving the nod to Pittsburgh; no one wants to upset the mustache that could rule the world.

Wake Forest vs. North Carolina: Wake Forest. Just cannot imagine losing to North Carolina this late in the season. If you do, you might want to consider becoming a woman’s field hockey team.

Indiana vs. Wisconsin: Wisconsin. But who knows with the Big Ten anymore. If I was a fan of this conference I would be eating every minute. Wisconsin is just too tough here and Indiana has not mattered since Gene Hackman was their coach. Oh wait, that was basketball. Nevermind.

Illinois vs. Ball State: Illinois If they do not win this game I would dissolve the football team and make Ron Zook the coordinator of the flag line. Something he might be able to use those recruiting skills in to make a difference.

Michigan St. vs. Iowa: Iowa I like the Hawkeyes a lot this year and they are a much better team than how they play week to week.

Purdue vs. Northwestern. Colorado vs. Texas Tech: Colorado will need a win after last week against Kansas. A better team than advertised and TT is just not that good, even their miraculous spread offense gets beaten and Colorado can do it.

Kentucky vs Mississippi St.: Kentucky is too good to lose this and has won a huge game against LSU and could have played a better game against Florida, save for Tim Tebow. Mississippi St. is a better team than in years past, but not better than Kentucky, or really any other SEC team, except for Ole Miss.

Navy vs. Delaware: Using that fancy new offense the Wing-T, Navy wins.

Missouri vs. Iowa State: The best Big 12 match-up year after year really heats up this year when Missouri wins again.

Arkansas vs. Florida International: Do not want them to win personally. But there is no way they lose this. I think.

Miami (OH) vs. Vanderbilt: Vanderbilt. Riding the wave of unreasonableness that propelled them to victory last week the Commodores take this game. However, they often lose games that no one should and win games they never should.

USC vs. Oregon: This is an amazing showdown in a very tight and good PAC 10. Oregon. They look too fast, tough, and better than USC. It will be close, but I have got to say Oregon. I do not think I will be able to watch it no matter how much I want to because of the cursed Comcast Regional programming they adhere to so strongly. I want satellite.

La Tech vs. Utah St.: Have no idea about either team except they are both not good. Going with La. Tech because its 45 minutes away from where I live.

South Florida vs. UConn: USF. Just a hunch but last weeks lost woke them up to reality and the fact they were not living in it for a few weeks. Hanging on to the big mo’. Which in this case, is not the gay guy that stalks people downtown at bars.

Florida vs. Georgia: Tim Tebow is an animal. He is actually a sophisticated man with the ability to make you and your team look like a bunch of small impish children. Florida, in what was the “World’s Largest Cocktail Party”, but due to PC rhetoric bullshit has become, “The World’s Largest; Well That’s Not fair, It May Not Be The Largest, Cocktail; Not Cocktail Though Because to Say People Are Drinking Means That They Will and To Not Say People Are Drinking Means They Won’t And This Never Happened, Party; Well Actually Not A Party But More of A Family Friendly Airing of the Grievances Between Two Conference Rivals.”

Texas beats Nebraska in the no surprise here game of the week. Despite Holtz’s pep talk.

Michigan vs. Minnesota: About eight weeks ago everyone said there is no way the Michigan loses to a team they are better than in everyway. That did not work out. This time, I think it will. Michigan.

Virginia over North Carolina State. Utah over Colorado St. Auburn over Ole Miss because the Rebels are awful. And Auburn hates to lose twice in a row. Besides Auburng outmatches this team like the New England Patriots outmatch my cousins 6-7 year old flag football squad.

Oregon St vs. Stanford. UCLA vs. Washington St. Kansas vs. Texas A&M; another no need to explain game even though you might think I do.

South Carolina vs Tennessee: Come on, both of these could be better than they are. I just think South Carolina will be playing better than Tennessee.

Ohio St. vs. Penn St: A tough game in a touch place. Ohio St’s defense looks legit, their offense, eh. However, I think that due to their defense and Penn St’s not too stellar offense Ohio St. wins the day. Sorry LSU fans, no moving in the polls this week.

Florida St vs Duke. Cal vs Arizona State.: Arizona St is a team that is number 4 because everyone else lost and they have not. But they have not played a decent team all year. Cal has tasted success and dismal losing this year. They do not want seconds.

Hawaii over New Mexico State: Nuff said.

Sunday Oct 28:
Southern Miss wins another Sunday night game on ESPN.
