World Series Record: United States-103 The World--0

The Boston Red Sox hung on to barely squeak by and sweep the Colorado Rockies to take their 2nd World Series championship this century. I thought the Rockies had more than a chance, but good lord. I couldn't have been wronger than if I had gone to Africa in 1977 and fucked a monkey. I watched approximately 6 innings of this World Series, mainly because I couldn't take the excitement. At least we don't have to listen to more crowing from the always humble New Englanders.

Alex Rodriguez opted out of the last 3 years of his contract with the Yankees. The Rangers rejoice, as well they should. There are shitty players they can buy with that 23 million they would have owed the Yankees. All year the rumors have been that A-Rod would like to rejoin his manager from Seattle, Lou Pinella and the Cubbies. As a Cubs fan, that would be awesome. As a person with a brain, I know it won't happen. Who would be buying this massively overpaid guy? The Tribune Co., who would be spending other people's money(and a lot of it) or the new owners who don't exist. Now if a deal is close to being made with a prospective owner and said candidate consented to any deal to get A-Rod, that would be the bee's knees. I really don't have much of an idea where he would go other than that. Sorry, to those of you who come to this site for in-depth baseball analysis.
