Ante Meridiem Eye Openers-November 19, 2007CE

1) The Queen of England and her consort, Prince Philip, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary today by doing things, and making speeches what not. Something a little more interesting is this list of 60 facts released by the Queen. This story is not going to make you ponder the world we live in or anything, but it is fluff and Americans love fluff. Enjoy.

2) I could link to the Yahoo Sports story and the ESPN story but that would be redundant since they both stepped up to the plate, did some investigative journalism and ran the story right off the AP wire. Lloyd Carr of Michigan announced his retirement shocking no one who reads the internet in any depth. Better to get out now, than next year where they could possibly be worse. That Williams/Amherst game sounds like a preview.

3) In that's the cutest thing you've ever seen news, this is the cutest thing you have ever seen.

4) It's nice to see that the elderly can find jobs once they reach retirement age. I like they way Tom Glavine does things. Almost as much as I hate the way Roger Clemens does things.

Well, that's about it. It's like Phyllis Diller said "If it weren't for baseball, many kids wouldn't know what a millionaire looked like."
