It's Discrimination Against Brad Garrett

In who gives a shit news, former University of Louisiana-Lafayette coach Jerry Baldwin received a judgment in his favor for $2 million over his allegations that he was fired because he is black, and not because he is a horrible coach.

To think that in this day and age, we still have to deal with the kind of discrimination that occurred 50 years in the past. But folks, that is not even the tip of the iceberg. This from the Associated Press:

In closing arguments for the eight-day trial, Bernard said white coaches before and after Baldwin got new equipment and had a greater ability to market the football program via a coach's television show and through the university's marketing department.

WHY IN THE BLUE FUCK OF MANITOBA WOULD ULL NEED A COACHES SHOW? Who is sitting around their hovel in South Louisiana, restocking his canned goods and fixing the deck attached to his trailer, hoping beyond all hope that tonight the ULL coaches show will grace his television screen. Is there any news to report on?

"Well fans, this is shaping up to be another banner year for Rajin' Cajun football. If we play our cards right we could win twice this year!!"

Is this show taking the place of other programming? Could someone be forced to learn more about that absolute abortion of a team, and not knowing there are products out there that can clean their clothes with oxygen, or rotate their meats so as to cook evenly and retain the sweet, sweet natural flavors?

The Pinnacle of your College Career

Just having to look at the standings of the Sun Belt Conference makes me want to have a good cry. I certainly understand the value of the free education that these schools offer some of their student-athletes, but once they leave those hallowed halls of Arkansas State can they really be hopeful of their future in football? Perhaps the alums of Florida International can truly live up to their creed and go play football outside of this fucking country because no one wants them here.

If this sounds harsh, at least it wasn't patronizing. I'm not on TV trying not to laugh as I extol the virtues of North Texas and Notre Dame. Ok, that last one was cheap--very cheap. Notice how I don't erase it.
