What? You Say Some Gents Are Playing Football This Weekend?

Well the only game anyone has been looking forward to all year is upon us. Yes the undefeated New England Patriots will be battling the equally undefeated Indianapolis Colts this weekend in the RCA Dome, in what should be a match-up for the ages.

Unless it isn't.

This game has the potential to be the most thrilling of the year, or just another shitty waste of a Sunday afternoon. I rarely watch NFL football on Sunday, mostly because after the pregame festivities of a Louisiana Saturday in the fall, the actual LSU game, and the subsequent trip to the bar to celebrate, my eyes work about as well as the rest of my gin soaked body. Plus it doesn't interest me much. Ace Ventura on TBS isn't going to watch itself, you know.

But this is appointment television to a sports fan. The Colts could play the Patriots to a thrilling finish, or one could just beat up on the other. That's the way it goes, sometimes. My money is on the Patriots, but since I don't own any money, it's a moot point. Obviously, the winner will be crowned Super Bowl champion Sunday night and the loser will be discussed in terms that make St. Louis feel compassion. No matter who loses, they are still the second best team in the NFL. Don't forget that. And most likely we will see this match up again in the AFC Championship, so just hold your horses(Colts pun not intended).

In related news, this is what Charlie Weis sings in the shower to a picture of Bill Belichick as he tries in vain to wash his massive body and cries his eyes out:
