Ante Meridiem Eye Openers-November 20, 2007CE

1) To go along with the shows you won't be able to watch due to the writer's strike, news you don't watch may be affected. Union writers for CBS News voted to authorize a strike, should the need for one arise. This could potentially cripple the last place news division in television in a world which has already written them out of the picture anyway. In other words, don't worry about these guys, they were heading for unemployment in 15 or 20 years anyway.

2) Michael Vick pays for dogs to die--we get it. The thing about it is I just figured out why he didn't fare so well during his time in the penal system. His lawyer is Billy Martin. It's a well known fact that you will never be able to successfully defend yourself in a court of law when your lawyer is a drunk corpse.

3) We need more outdated monarchs telling very crazy, very powerful maniacs to shut up. And possibly sending operatives to silence him-permanently.

Well, that's about it. It's like Brooks Atkinson said: "The perfect bureaucrat everywhere is the man who manages to make no decisions and escape all responsibilities."
