1) Don't even think of supplementing your income this holiday season with a winter job. There are no more stores to work in, let alone buy Tiny Tim a new crutch. Soon, you will be able to shop at Walmart and Amazon.com. It's called choice.
2) In this list of the 25 top places to find a job, 2 towns are in Louisiana: Houma and Lafayette. Unless you count murderer as a legitimate career, and then the top city is New Orleans.
3) In sports, speaking of a murder, Aaron Rodgers and Co. crawled into their body bags last night after Drew Brees threw 4 touchdowns in a 51-29 Saints gangrape of the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. First time in years I've watched more than 3.7 minutes of MNF. I think the official tally was 10.4 minutes. Total.
I hope Tiger Woods has enough saved up to feed his family, and hopefully put a decent roof over their heads. After being dropped by GM, I just worry about them.
4) In reading news I have a couple of new books that may pique your interest. One by Curtis Roosevelt is about his life growing up the grandson of FDR, taking wheelchair rides and plotting the demise of Hitler from his crib. An unsung hero indeed.
The second is about the Astor family. This would be good if you like deceit, intrigue and murder! Well, not exactly murder, but senility, and that's always fun. Just ask my grandmother...
5) You know what would be awesome? If we recreated a long lost offshoot of humanity and turned them into a labor class. That way Mexicans would have someone to take care of their gardens while they are out taking care of rich people's gardens. It's the circle of life. Speaking of the circle of life, does anyone know what that fruit was that Rafiki cracked open to put the red juice on Simba's head? These are the thoughts that prevail in my mind.
Well, that's about it. It's Like Timon said in The Lion King: "Let me get this straight. You know her. She knows you. But she wants to eat him. And everybody's okay with this? Did I miss something?"
